JM Promo Movie - GLfix v2 01.09.1998
------------------------- ----------

A bug with GLQuake (0.98 so far) causes a 'GL_LoadTexture: cache mismatch'
error, if you try to load E2M5 or E2M6 together with DM4 in the same session.

More specifically, GLQuake's texture caching crashes when textures of the same
name but different sizes are loaded in one session. This is the case when both
E2M5 and DM4 are loaded, like in our movie, which makes it crash halfway. The
problem can be solved by renaming the offending texture.

Special thanks to Stefan Schwoon from the QdQ-team, who dropped me some lines in
C they have used to fix this problem, which occurs on even much more levels in
Scourge of Armagon (Quake Mission Pack No. 1). Btw: Make sure to watch their new
movie 'SdS', it really rocks ;)

How to get along:
Just copy JMGLFIX.EXE into the directory containing the DM4.BSP to be fixed and
run it. Extract the DM4.BSP from your id1/PAK1.PAK by using eg. the wonderful
PakExplorer, which is available from http://quakestuff.telefragged.com
Copy the patched DM4.BSP into your JM_Promo/maps directory then.
Alternatively, you can compile the C sources for yourself. Using gcc, a simple
'gcc -o jmglfix JMglfix.c' should do it.

ATTENTION:
Don't patch your original DM4.BSP in your id1/PAK1.PAK, because this may prevent
you from playing on a QW-server with mapcheck enabled (renaming the texture
changes the map's checksum)!

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
